Keeping cooler in SummerKeeping Warmer in WinterUV Protection

Better insulation, less UV damage — without replacing your windows.

Does this sound familiar?

Some rooms in your home are never quite right — too cold in winter, too hot in summer. You run the heat pump more than you’d like, and the power bill shows it.

Meanwhile, your furniture, carpets, and curtains are slowly fading from UV exposure coming through the glass. Even rooms that feel comfortable have this problem happening silently.

And if you have single glazing, you already know about the condensation. That morning dampness on the glass that never fully goes away.

What is Thermal Glass Coat?

It’s a liquid coating applied directly to your existing glass by a trained technician. It chemically bonds to the surface — it’s not a film, not a sticker, and nothing is stuck on with adhesive.

Once dry, it’s virtually invisible. There’s a very slight blue-green tint in certain light, which most people never notice. It won’t affect your view or your privacy.

Why UV matters — even through double glazing

Most people think UV only comes through single glazing. It doesn’t. Standard double glazing blocks very little UV — the damaging rays still come through and slowly fade everything they touch.

Thermal Glass Coat blocks 99% of UV rays while still letting natural light through. Your rooms stay bright — the damage stops.

Is this the right solution for you?

Thermal Glass Coat works well if you have single glazing and want warmer winters and cooler summers, if you have double glazing that isn’t performing as well as you hoped, or if UV is fading your furniture and floors and you want that sorted without replacing your windows.

If any of these sounds like you, Carole can talk it through — no obligation.

What our customers paid compared to other options

Comparing Thermal Glass Coat as a retrofit Double Glazing alternative is easy, but Window Insulation Film is tricky because there is a massive variance in quality, performance and cost. You can get high quality Window film with comparable performance, but it does cost a lot more.

In Clarke’s beach, a couple were quoted $9,000 for 2 very large, high windows in their lounge to be Double Glazed. We did their whole house for $6,000. High performance Window Film would have cost around $11,000. The job took 2 days. After the 1st day, in the lounge we’d only done the 2 large, high windows. The next morning, the client said “that stuff is amazing, I turned the heat pump down 3 degrees last night, and you haven’t even coated the other windows in the lounge yet”.

In Mt Wellington, a Father of a local Church got 3 Double Glazing quotes for the Church’s home. The lowest was $19,000. We did it for $4,000. High performance Window Film would have cost around $7,000. He reported … “I do not use any heating during the day as it is no longer necessary.”

Carole and Seton have been doing this since 2015. They do the work themselves — no subcontractors. When you book, you get the people who know this product inside out.

Things to consider other than price…

Retrofit Double Glazing

Retrofit double glazing means adding a second pane to your existing frames — a major structural job. Access equipment is often needed, and the glass is incredibly heavy.

Many homeowners don’t discover the problems — leaks, warping, frame damage — until two or three years after installation, well after the installer has moved on.

Window Insulation film

Window film requires visible join lines on larger panes — there’s no way around it. Over time, film is prone to cracking, peeling, and bubbling.

In hot environments it can have serious durability issues and in extreme cases can even crack the glass itself.

Thermal Glass Coat

We work from the inside, so no access equipment is needed in most homes. The job is quiet, clean, and done in a day.

Your existing glass stays in place — no extra weight, no risk of frame damage. The coating is virtually invisible, with no join lines and no bubbling or peeling. It even works on curved glass.

10 year Guarantee

Thermal Glass Coat is highly durable and scratch resistant — nearly as hard as glass itself. Glass has a pencil hardness of 7h, window films around 3.5h. Thermal Glass Coat sits at 5h.

It’s guaranteed for 10 years against cracking, bubbling, peeling, and delaminating.
